SKYCITY CONFERENCE

 

A Business Conference and Exhibition on SKYCITY was held by the Airport Authority on 17 October 2016. Renowned international speakers were invited to share their views on the latest airport city developments in major aviation hubs to over 300 senior executives from around the world.

 

Over 30 overseas and local entertainment operators showcased inspiring new and novel developing concepts for SKYCITY into a captivating Retail, Dining and Entertainment destination.

SKYCITY is located just a short stroll from Hong Kong International Airport’s passenger terminals, and is conveniently accessible by rail, road and a network of footbridges. The Site A2 and A3 of SKYCITY, named "11 SKIES", is Hong Kong’s largest hub for Retail, Dining and Entertainment (RDE) and office space with the total gross floor area of around 350,000 sq. m.. Developed by New World Development, 11 SKIES is scheduled to open from 2022 in phases. SYNERGY WITH THE
LANTAU DEVELOPMENT PLAN

 

According to the HKSAR Government’s Lantau development plan in 2016, the construction of cross-boundary infrastructure is laying the foundation for the creation of a dynamic new “Bridgehead Economy”. The Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, Tuen Mun-Chek Lap Kok Link and the three-runway system, which together represent an investment of HK$200 billion*, will play key roles to cultivate Lantau and nearby developments into powerful new engines of economic growth.
